You can add as many layers as you like. If you have Photoshop or any other program that uses layers you can simply place a texture on top of your photo then change the blending mode of the texture and the opacity if you like to any of the blending modes. These are also great printed out for backdrops and to use as overlays in your photography. The ones I use most often are Overlay, Soft Light and Multiply. If you'd like to remove the texture from certain areas of your photo, add a layer mask to the texture layer and then brush over the area to be removed with a soft black brush.
