Among the many strange attempts to conceal writing, this system allegedly used by the Masons has a wonderful simplicity and ease of use. For a slightly different encoding see also PLTF's product Swine and Roses which also includes the Rosicrucian system. Note the Majuscules and minuscules are slightly different in that the dots are centered in the one and offset in the other. This Free Mason cipher, also called the Pigpen cipher is a simple replacement cipher and does not on its own offer very great security, but would certainly ensure the casual observer would not be able to read documents written in such a script.
