Brokolino is a modern and playful typefamily designed by Marco Battaglia. The gradually retracting serifs and large x-height emphasize the influence of humanist letterforms in the lighter weights and provide a dense and consistent texture to the heavier weights. The family features extended Latin support including the most necessary Opentype features, such as fun ligatures, alternates, swash and more! Text weights are characterized by low contrast and their light texture is perfect for long stretches of text in publications, magazines or books. The italic is a true italic and it sport variable angles from 11 to 14 and a truly calligraphy feeling approach. The type family is composed of two parts: it features five text weights and three display weights with respective italics. Its design is strongly influenced by humanist broad nib calligraphy and 1970's popular type styles.
